This week’s update to Zinfonia and in© introduces several new features designed for ALL of our publisher and distribution partners. Highlights include the ability to create private notes on orders, order materials directly from the source using the new B2B functionality, and enhanced UIC tools.
Private Notes
We have introduced a new message type: Private Note. This allows distributors to add internal notes to an order that are visible only within In© to the distributor—they remain hidden from the customer.
Private notes are created using the standard messaging option:

Order New Materials by B2B
When you receive an order for a piece of music you do not have in stock, In© now provides a simple way to create a request with the source publisher with the new B2B button found in the Performing Details section of the order:

Note: This button is not visible if the work selected is published by you or if logistics modules have been deployed on this transaction. B2B orders will only work if you have a Zinfonia login using the SAME email that is used to receive all Zinfonia orders.
Upon selecting the button, you will be prompted to enter the delivery address. This defaults to your own address, but you can update these details if you wish to send the parts directly to the customer.

You can also enter a B2B message which is sent along with the request to the original publisher.
You can also include a custom B2B message for the publisher. Next, you will be prompted to confirm the required parts, which is based on the customer’s original request. You can add new instruments and specify the delivery date at this stage.
Note: Empty instrument values will be ignored by the publisher.

Click the SAVE button to create the B2B request. The Zinfonia ID for the B2B request will appear as a Private Note:

You can click the provided link to view the order in the B2B order section of In©. This section also serves as a hub to read and send messages to the publisher for all B2B requests.
B2B Orders are visible in the “My Orders” section by selecting:

The red indicator identifies unread messages. You can use the In© messaging facility to respond directly:

Unread B2B messages are also displayed in the main menu:

Special Note for HLMSW Users
We recommend using In© for all B2B requests and messaging. You can now create requests in just a few clicks with all In© publisher partners—not just other HLMSW customers.
To make this transition, ensure you are using the most recent versions of HLMSW and ancillary systems (current build: 8.3.2.6). With the update installed, we recommend two changes:
- Move all B2B messaging to In© via the HLMSW2B2B program

- Enable the “Use In© for New Set Orders” option in HLMSW so the system knows to use In© for B2B messaging:

Please contact us if you need assistance with this transition.
New UIC Functions
The UIC Toolbox has been updated to include new search capabilities, including a reverse UIC search (to locate UICs by number) and a “quick-UIC locator” based on common system usage.
