Tip: Better Zinfonia Searches

A Zinfonia customer who was looking for excerpts from Mozart’s Magic Flute wrote to us to point out how difficult it was to find what they were looking for.

The was because the titles were distributed all the way through the very long list of Mozart titles :

Die Zauberflöte

Magic Flute, The

The Magic Flute

Zauberflöte, Die

The customer wisely pointed out that if the search order did not include the indefinite article (Die/The) things would  be simpler (and this is a feature we will be adding to Zinfonia at some point in the future), but this will not help if the title is listed only as Magic Flute or Zauberflöte.

So for popular titles, especially those that are well-known in various translations (eg Le quattro stagioni, The Four Seasons, Die vier Jahreszeiten, Les Quatre Saisons, Cztery pory roku) it is very important you include ALL of the translations in your Zinfonia titles otherwise you risk your listings not being found when users are searching.

Incidentally, in HLMSW, if you place the indefinite article in the slot that was designed for this purpose, then it is always added at the END of the title in Zinfonia.
